The theatrical world is continuously shaped by creative professionals who bring forth innovative productions or reinterpret timeless classics. Central to this evolution are fresh scripts and modern adaptations. The Master of Fine Arts in Playwriting program at The Lir Academy empowers each student to refine their distinctive writing abilities, ensuring every crafted play reaches its fullest potential.

Through hands-on writing workshops and personalized guidance from experienced playwrights, directors, and dramaturges, students' individual voices are cultivated and strengthened. Complementary training in dramaturgy and modern theatrical techniques further enriches their education. The program concludes with students composing a full-length stage play, selections of which are showcased at a public event attended by industry experts.

Participants will have access to a dedicated writing space within The Lir's facilities. Alongside core classes and workshops, one-on-one mentorship from The Lir's dramaturge plays a pivotal role in their development. Additionally, master classes led by guest professionals enhance the overall learning experience.
