The Law School is home to several specialized research clusters: Constitutional Governance and Social Transformation, Corporate Law, Governance and Financial Markets, Crime and Justice, Private Law, and Technology and Society.

This represents a crucial aspect of the Law School's connection with the broader community. Faculty members possess research proficiency across diverse fields, such as: Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Commercial Law, Corporate Law, Environmental Law, Financial Regulation, Intellectual Property Law, Equity, Tort Law, Contract Law, EU Law, International Law, Human Rights, and Technology Law. The Law School oversees the Dublin University Law Journal (DULJ), a premier peer-reviewed legal publication in Ireland.
Postgraduate work in Trinity College Dublin is very academically challenging and as a result the University has high academic entry requirements. Applicants will need to hold at least a 2.1 honors degree from an Irish university or equivalent result from a university in another country; a fluent command of the English language. Display a high level of competence in the English language in one of the examination systems recognised by Trinity College Dublin.
