Our research spans diverse outputs and themes. Faculty members pursue practice-based projects, producing theatrical works, musical compositions, and documentary films that examine conceptual ideas through creative expression. Simultaneously, we maintain strong dedication to traditional academic publishing. We champion research-informed teaching and student development. The School's research focuses on three key areas: Ireland & the Arts, Globalisation & the Arts, and Technology & the Arts. As part of Trinity Long Room Hub, Trinity's Arts and Humanities Institute, we actively contribute to its research themes, especially Making Ireland, Identities in Transformation, and Creative Arts Practice. The School offers three MPhil programs and fosters a vibrant postgraduate research community. During term, we organize weekly Creative Arts research seminars where faculty and students present their work and receive constructive feedback in a supportive environment. Additionally, we welcome guest speakers at these and other public engagements.
