The Structured PhD program offers doctoral candidates access to diverse interdisciplinary coursework. Students can choose from an extensive selection of modules designed to:
strengthen subject-matter expertise in their chosen field
provide dissertation-focused skills crucial for research completion, such as language acquisition
support professional growth through activities like presenting at global conferences
boost career prospects via general training like career seminars and IT skills development.
All candidates work with assigned primary Supervisor(s) and a Graduate Research Committee composed of seasoned academics who guide their academic journey and provide continuous research support.

This four-year, full-time program focuses on advancing knowledge in Film, Television and Digital Media through scholarly investigation. Participants undergo research methodology training and produce a 60,000-80,000 word thesis addressing a central research question, typically completed within four years.
