The School engages in numerous research initiatives across various disciplines. It maintains strong affiliations with seven key research groups within the College: the Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience, the Global Brain Health Institute, TRiSS (Trinity Research in Social Science), the Centre for Global Health, Trinity Research in Childhood Centre, the Research Centre for Psychological Health, and the Centre for Innovative Human Systems. Students benefit from state-of-the-art facilities including a dedicated computer lab, multimedia resources, EEG and behavioral neuroscience labs, video-observation rooms, soundproof testing environments, and fMRI analysis tools. The School also fosters valuable partnerships with hospitals and healthcare providers. Faculty members consistently secure substantial research grants from both national and international funding bodies.
Applicants must normally hold at least a second class honors degree upper division (2.1) in Psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland or equivalent (a conversion degree in Psychology) with relevant professional experience when they start the course.
