The discipline encompasses everything from the ascent and decline of civilizations to the emergence of new belief systems, as well as the diverse daily experiences of individuals throughout various periods and regions worldwide. Engaging with History cultivates analytical abilities, enhances clear communication of thoughts and viewpoints, and fosters independent learning.
Applicants must have completed a high school qualification equivalent to the Irish Leaving Certificate. General matriculation requirements include pass grades in English, mathematics and a language other than English. Additional requirements may apply for some courses.
