History explores our origins and the narratives we create to understand bygone eras. Spanning everyday life to remarkable events, local communities to worldwide perspectives, and factual accounts to imaginative interpretations, you'll hone essential abilities in critical thought, debate, and evaluation—skills fundamental to professions in journalism, public service, arts, and academia. The curriculum covers Irish, European, and World History from medieval times to contemporary periods. You'll examine diverse historical dimensions—political, artistic, societal, and financial—while tackling complex inquiries to sharpen your analytical abilities and articulate your viewpoints effectively.
