Quantity surveying plays a pivotal role in construction economics and project management. This honors degree program, designed collaboratively with industry leaders, stands out by incorporating a 12-month professional placement during the third academic year. Known as the Active Learning Year, this practical experience is coordinated by TUS alongside its industry collaborators.
Global demand for quantity surveying expertise continues to grow, particularly as the construction sector prioritizes sustainable and cost-effective development solutions. Modern quantity surveyors now fulfill varied advisory roles, providing strategic guidance on economic, legal, technological, and financial matters including tax optimization and capital allowances. This expanding scope ensures ongoing need for qualified quantity surveying professionals.
The program holds accreditation from the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI).
Leaving Certificate: A minimum of 2 H5 & 4 O6/H7 grades in six Leaving Certificate subjects, including Mathematics and English or Irish.
IELTS score for entry to undergraduate courses a minimum score of 5.5
