This distinctive national program teaches you to assess and visualize the human body's physiological functions while delivering diagnostic insights to healthcare professionals.
Beyond conventional classroom instruction, you'll acquire hands-on training through clinical placements. Prior physics knowledge isn't required for admission.
During the initial two years, you'll study bodily systems - including physiology, anatomy, and biochemistry - alongside diagnostic technology applications.
The curriculum encompasses Medical Instrumentation, Computer Applications, Imaging Technology, Pharmacology, Physiological Biochemistry, and Human Anatomy & Physiology.
Applicants must have six subjects and two honours with minimum grade of OB3 in maths and OD3 in English/Irish. A QQI / PLC Level 5 entry route to this program is available. At least HC3 in one of: Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Physics and Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Engineering or Technology.
