The Certificate in NZEB Design equips professionals with specialized knowledge for designing and constructing residential and commercial buildings that meet Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB) standards. This program develops the ability to analyze energy pathways in structures and make informed decisions regarding energy efficiency, thermal performance, electrical systems, and sustainable energy solutions. Both national and European regulations mandate decreased energy consumption and lower CO2 emissions, exemplified by Ireland's updated building codes adopting NZEB standards.

Participants will gain expertise in evaluating energy flows within buildings and implementing strategic measures to reduce consumption across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The shift toward NZEB compliance for all building types has heightened demands for improved energy performance, reduced carbon footprints, and increased renewable energy integration - creating demand for qualified professionals who can evaluate and implement these requirements. As sustainability challenges in construction grow, so do opportunities for specialists; this course addresses the expanding need for Sustainability Consultants and professionals with advanced expertise in sustainable building practices.
