The MBS (Marketing Stream) helps students cultivate a sharp analytical understanding of fundamental business principles while offering specialization in modern marketing theories and applications. The program stresses the importance of combining theoretical advancements with practical skills to evaluate and implement these concepts in real business scenarios. Special attention is devoted to the fast-growing fields of digital marketing and business analytics. MBS (Marketing Stream) graduates will gain expertise in current marketing strategies and the competence to utilize them effectively in professional settings.
This one-year full-time or two-year part-time MBS (Marketing Stream) program is designed to equip graduates for careers in marketing and sales across various industries. Based on feedback from corporate partners, SETU Waterford School of Business recognized the demand for a cutting-edge, hands-on marketing curriculum that readies students for positions in branding, product development, sales, market research, and international sales. The program was created in partnership with influential organizations like the Marketing Institute of Ireland's South East branch and regional businesses such as Glanbia and Flahavans.
A H1 or 2.1 overall award in a strong specialist business marketing undergraduate degree or a general business undergraduate degree with a marketing major/specialism.
Students from a non-business degree (example - BA in Hospitality Management) must have taken relevant business modules during one year of their studies and achieved a minimum grade of 60% in those subjects.
In some instances graduates who have achieved a 2nd class honours grade 2 in the degrees listed above and who can demonstrate a high level of performance in the marketing related subjects may be considered for interview and short listing.
