The BSc (Hons) in Molecular Biology with Biopharmaceutical Science is a four-year honors degree program available through the SE501 - Bachelor of Science (Hons) Common Entry Pathway. This program prepares students for careers in biopharmaceutical, biomedical, and food-related sectors, while also providing a foundation for advanced studies like postgraduate research or the Professional Master of Education (PME). The biopharmaceutical industry seeks skilled graduates with practical experience to contribute to groundbreaking developments in biotechnology. Modern biotechnological innovations utilize microorganisms and various cell types to manufacture pharmaceuticals and other valuable products. Such work demands scientists proficient in cellular mechanisms and their regulation. This four-year degree equips students with essential skills including analytical testing, advanced molecular biology methods, microbiological assessment, biopharmaceutical technology, and cell culture techniques - all critical competencies for careers in biopharmaceutical, biomedical, food, and related industries.
You should be at least 17 years of age in January of the year of entry.
You must have a Secondary/High School Diploma, with good grades in English and Mathematics and at least 4 other subjects, on average + 60%.
