Intellectual Disability nursing represents a specialized branch of nursing focused on delivering comprehensive care to individuals with intellectual disabilities. These nurses collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to support and empower people with intellectual disabilities in reaching their maximum capabilities. Nursing stands as an outstanding option for students pursuing healthcare professions. Given the complexity of human nature, nursing roles rank among the most demanding yet fulfilling careers available. The Intellectual Nursing Program is conducted in a modern, specially designed educational facility, with students gaining clinical experience throughout the southeastern region. Instruction spans four years using our distinctive KSVSE framework (Knowledge, Science, Values and Attitudes, Skills, and Experience). Upon fulfilling all course requirements, graduates become eligible to register as Intellectual Disability Nurses with An Bord Altranais.
