Architectural Technology focuses on the technical aspects of building design. Architectural Technologists specialize in creating comprehensive drawings and specifications for construction projects, collaborating with architects and design teams. This three-year program equips students with the skills to produce detailed construction documents for sophisticated building designs. Environmental considerations are heavily emphasized, promoting energy-efficient design and construction methods. From the first year, students learn industry-standard software, particularly Building Information Modeling tools like Autodesk Revit. The curriculum covers diverse presentation methods, structural systems, construction techniques, and the fundamentals of construction law and professional standards.
You should be at least 17 years of age in January of the year of entry.
You must have a Secondary/High School Diploma, with good grades in English and Mathematics and at least 4 other subjects, on average + 60%.
