The Accounting & Finance specialization enables students to focus on Accounting and Finance during the last two years of their BBS (Hons) program, designed for those aiming for careers in accounting or financial services. This program is recognized by multiple professional accounting organizations and offers the highest number of exemptions for students seeking professional accounting certifications. Additional exemptions are provided through the Irish Taxation Institute, opening doors to various taxation careers. This four-year degree comprises 60 credits per year and 30 credits per semester. The initial two years cover essential business fundamentals, equipping students with core business knowledge, skills, and competencies. Students can choose from a range of required and optional modules throughout the first half of the program.

Year 1 entry:
Candidates for year 1 entry to our Bachelor Degree programmes must hold a high school completion certificate that comes in at level 5 on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications. All candidates must have completed 12 years of full-time education prior to applying for entry to SETU Carlow. All subjects on the High School Completion Certificate must be successfully passed, with good grades.
Advanced Entry:
SETU Carlow welcomes applications from students who have completed some studies at higher level at other institutions and who wish to transfer onto a Bachelor degree programme at SETU Carlow.
