This program provides students with practical skills and knowledge for careers in diverse fields including commerce, entrepreneurship, public sector work, government, and nonprofit organizations. Structured around four core components—management, finance/economics, business technology, and marketing—the curriculum begins with foundational business studies in the first two years, offering some elective options in Year 2. After this period, students select their specialization between Business or Business with Digital Marketing. Additional electives include Commercial Law, Fund Accounting, and Economics based on individual interests. The Business specialization centers on four fundamental elements: management, finance/economics, business technology, and marketing. Specialized courses like fund accounting cater to those pursuing financial services careers, while hands-on training in digital tools and computerized accounting boosts job readiness. Learners can also cultivate entrepreneurial skills by creating business plans and participating in entrepreneurship coursework.

Year 1 entry:
Candidates for year 1 entry to our Bachelor Degree programmes must hold a high school completion certificate that comes in at level 5 on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications. All candidates must have completed 12 years of full-time education prior to applying for entry to SETU Carlow. All subjects on the High School Completion Certificate must be successfully passed, with good grades.
Advanced Entry:
SETU Carlow welcomes applications from students who have completed some studies at higher level at other institutions and who wish to transfer onto a Bachelor degree programme at SETU Carlow.
