This program is perfect for individuals passionate about business and aiming to enter the global accounting and finance sector. Designed for school graduates, adult learners, and QQI level 5/6 certificate holders seeking full-time education, NCI's BA (Honours) in Accounting and Finance combines specialized financial topics with core business disciplines. This provides a strong grounding in leadership, management, and analytical problem-solving within financial environments.
Participants might also qualify for a year-long, accredited internship between the second and third years. This optional placement counts toward academic credits and extends the program duration. Availability is limited and based on competitive selection.
Upon completion, students gain comprehensive knowledge of accounting and finance principles, acquire broad business expertise, and can pursue roles in management, accounting, or similar areas. Graduates may also qualify for exemptions from professional accounting certifications.
Duration: 3 years (4 years with optional internship)
Minimum entry requirements are a grade H5 and above in two higher level subjects together with a minimum of O6/H7 in four other subjects. A minimum of grade O6/H7 must be obtained in English. A grade O5/H6 must be obtained in Mathematics.
