Popular music dominates airwaves, screens, and stages nationwide, playing nonstop on radios, TVs, theaters, and clubs. This term covers diverse subgenres including rock, country, soul, blues, pop, contemporary musical theater, EDM, and dance music. The program features five specialized tracks: Electric Bass Guitar, Drums, Electric Guitar, Keyboards, or Vocal Performance.
Students join carefully curated peer groups to form intimate ensembles, which serve as the foundation of their musical development. Complementary lectures, workshops, and music tech labs enhance the primary focus on performance training.

558 CAO Points in 2023 and meet minimum entry requirements
Leaving Certificate in six subjects i.e. H5 in two subjects and O6/H7 in four other subjects. The six subjects must include either English or Irish grade O6/H7. Mathematics see Note 1.
NOTE 1 There is no specific requirement for Maths. A grade F2 or higher in foundation level Maths is recognised as one of the subjects for entry.
NOTE 2 Vetting by an Garda Sochna is a mandatory requirement for this programme.
