This program concentrates on the Internet of Things (IoT), culminating in an MSc in Electronic and Computer Technology with an IoT specialization. Designed for bachelor's graduates, current ICT professionals, and individuals transitioning from related fields, it equips participants with essential skills for careers in IoT technology and applications. The Internet of Things refers to the network of interconnected everyday devices that communicate and collaborate through the internet. Accelerated IoT growth stems from continuous research and breakthroughs, particularly in 5G mobile networks and Artificial Intelligence. IoT solutions are unlocking numerous business prospects in smart living environments and urban development, while also enhancing intelligent infrastructure and services across transportation, energy, and healthcare sectors.
IoT implementations integrate diverse technologies, both established and emerging, such as Sensors & Actuators, Energy-Efficient Communication, Cloud Networking, Big Data & Analytics, Machine Learning, Security, and Application Deployment. The program offers February and September enrollment with flexible study arrangements. September-start full-time students can finish in 12 months, while February-start students typically complete it in 18 months, accounting for project timelines. Exit options include NFQ Level 9 Graduate Diploma and Certificate awards. This course meets the Irish Graduate Programme visa requirements for non-EEA international students.
