This interdisciplinary program attracts diverse candidates from various sectors involved with biomedical therapeutics, including life scientists, biopharma and biopharmaceutical professionals, biotechnology experts, diagnostics specialists, healthcare industry workers, and medical practitioners (such as general practitioners, clinicians-in-training, and specialized nurses). Graduates will be equipped to offer professional leadership, innovative solutions, and scholarly insights to numerous organizations, driving advancements in biotherapeutic development and implementation.
The curriculum begins with foundational knowledge in core areas like cell biology and cellular manipulation for therapeutic product development, covered in the Introduction to Cell Biology and Biotechnology module.
Later, students explore how biotech-produced biological drugs can be optimized for improved treatments in the Recombinant DNA Technology module.
Through the Immuno- and Onco-Therapeutics module, participants discover how precision medicine has transformed healthcare by enabling targeted treatments for conditions like cancer, inflammatory disorders, and genetic diseases.
The Introduction to Bioprocess Engineering module familiarizes students with biopharmaceutical industry practices and related processing methodologies.
