The ME (Master of Engineering) in Biomedical Engineering provides graduates holding an engineering bachelor's degree with advanced technical, analytical, and transferable skills in the biomedical field.
This one-year program includes 40 ECTS (approximately 8 modules) of coursework, incorporating cutting-edge biomedical research from University of Galway, plus a 20 ECTS thesis project. Partnering with the renowned BioInnovate program, this medical device-focused project emphasizes practical application of technical expertise in innovation, commercialization, and business development.

Entry to the ME programme is open to individuals who have Second Class Honours, Grade 2 (H2.2), in an accredited Level 8 engineering degree in a related discipline, or equivalent, from a recognised university or third-level college.

IELTS: 6.5 overall, no less than 5.5 in any one component; Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE): 176 overall; Cambridge C2 Advanced (CPE): 180 overall; TOEFL: 88 overall (7 Listening, 16 Speaking, 18 Writing, 8 Reading); Pearson PTE: 61 overall, no less than 48 in any one component.
