This Master's program offers students the opportunity to focus on the well-established field of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering or expand upon their undergraduate knowledge. Graduates will develop the ability to implement MEng Level 9 competencies by utilizing computer-based technologies to address engineering challenges in mechanical and manufacturing domains. The curriculum incorporates sophisticated Computer Aided Engineering applications, providing graduates with valuable hands-on experience that enhances their professional competitiveness. The program ensures candidates remain current with evolving trends in manufacturing and design industries. Students may also choose to specialize in one of four key disciplines: Simulation-driven Design, Advanced Manufacturing, Sustainable Systems and Energy, or Biomedical Engineering. Multiple entry pathways exist for the MEng program, tailored to applicants' prior qualifications, including Direct Entry, Access Course, Qualifier Programs, or the International Foundation Programme.
The normal entry requirements for the Access Course are:
