This Master's program offers students the opportunity to focus on the well-established field of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering or expand upon their undergraduate knowledge. Graduates will develop the ability to implement MEng Level 9 competencies by utilizing computer-based technologies to address engineering challenges in mechanical and manufacturing domains. The curriculum incorporates sophisticated Computer Aided Engineering applications, providing graduates with valuable hands-on experience that enhances their professional competitiveness. The program ensures candidates remain current with evolving trends in manufacturing and design industries. Students may also choose to specialize in one of four key disciplines: Simulation-driven Design, Advanced Manufacturing, Sustainable Systems and Energy, or Biomedical Engineering. Multiple entry pathways exist for the MEng program, tailored to applicants' prior qualifications, including Direct Entry, Access Course, Qualifier Programs, or the International Foundation Programme.

Qualification Requirements
The normal entry requirements for the Access Course are:
- A level 8 (NFQ level 8 qualification) Honours degree in a Science/Technology based degree (Applied Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.), or
- A level 8 (NFQ level 8 qualification) Honours degree in other areas of engineering (Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc.)
- Both cases are subject to an interview if deemed necessary by the Chair of the Programme or Head of School.
English language Requirements
- IELTS ACADEMIC - Overall score 6.5 or above, with a minimum of 6.0 in all components.
- TOEFL - Overall score 580.
- CBTOEFL - Overall score 237.
- TOEFL iBT - Overall score 92 or above.
- English Test for Academic and Professional Purposes (ETAPP) - C1
- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CAP) - Postgraduate: Overall score of 180 with a minimum of 169 in all components
- Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) - Postgraduate: Overall score of 180 with a minimum of 169 in all components
- Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic) - 63 with a minimum of 59 in all components.
- Duolingo - Duolingo will be accepted with a minimum score of 120 and a score of at least 110 in each subscore.
