Our two graduate-level programs blend academic coursework, practical training, and research-based thesis work. Upon completion, you'll gain the comprehensive knowledge required to effectively serve diverse communities across various social service environments. The MSW curriculum emphasizes navigating complex practice scenarios, empowering students to approach their work with critical thinking skills.
Available in both full-time and part-time formats, the MSW program accepts applicants with bachelor's degrees from accredited institutions. Candidates must possess either a BSW or equivalent social work qualification recognized by an authorized accrediting body comparable to the Canadian Association of Social Work Education, maintain a minimum B average in their final two years of study, and demonstrate relevant social work experience.
The initial year serves as a foundational introduction to graduate-level social work education. The subsequent year merges with our established one-year, full-time MSW curriculum.
Our two-year full-time MSW option caters to students without a BSW degree but who hold an honors undergraduate degree in a related discipline, coupled with meaningful professional, personal, and volunteer experience in social work.
