The program offers comprehensive study and research opportunities across analytical, biological, inorganic, organic, physical, and theoretical chemistry, with specialized options in atmospheric chemistry, mass spectrometry, biomolecular interactions, and materials science.
Students benefit from access to exceptional facilities, including three dedicated research centers: the Centre for Atmospheric Chemistry, the Centre for Research in Mass Spectrometry, and the Centre for Research in Biomolecular Interactions.
Part-time students have up to four years to fulfill MSc requirements through coursework or a combination of coursework and review essay, though completing sooner is encouraged. Full-time students typically finish their MSc within two years. All degree requirements must be completed within 12 terms of registration, with a maximum of 6 terms as a full-time student.
You can apply to our graduate programs if you hold an Honours degree (four years of study) or equivalent from a recognized postsecondary institution. Recommended overall grade point averages (GPA) vary by program, but will be a “B” at minimum.
