The program focuses on cutting-edge research across various biology disciplines. You'll learn from a team of engaged, distinguished professors, including recipients of prestigious honors like Steacie Fellowships, Young Investigator Awards, York Research Chairs, and Canada Research Chairs.
Research encompasses both model and non-model organisms, along with human studies. York University offers advanced facilities (such as molecular core labs and mass spectrometry) and fosters cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Participate in active research projects spanning fundamental and applied biology, including: molecular structures and interactions; genomics and proteomics; physiology; conservation biology, ecological systems; neurobiology. Full-time MSc students typically fulfill degree requirements within two years. Part-time enrollment in subsequent years may not include guaranteed funding.
