The University of Manitoba's Master of Science in Entomology program offers comprehensive training across various entomological disciplines while emphasizing written and verbal communication development. Participants will gain essential research and thesis defense capabilities, equipping them for professional careers or advanced doctoral studies.
Our investigative emphasis spans multiple areas: managing honey bee parasites and diseases, utilizing insects for biological control, studying agricultural entomology, examining landscape ecosystems, exploring pollination science, researching arthropod parasites affecting vertebrates, documenting insect biodiversity, and conducting systematic and bioinformatics analyses of Hymenoptera. Collaborating adjunct faculty members enhance our expertise in forest entomology, pheromone research, agricultural pest management, stored product protection, weed biocontrol, and aquatic insect ecology.
