Geomatics involves gathering and analyzing spatial information about our environment through techniques such as land surveying, remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), geography, and computer science to create digital representations of the world. This data plays a crucial role in urban planning for infrastructure development, enabling autonomous vehicle navigation, supporting disaster response efforts, and numerous other applications. Combine scientific and engineering expertise with IT skills to address practical challenges like urban vehicle tracking or interpreting land use from aerial imagery. Specialize in positioning systems, sensor technologies, measurement methods, cartography, and spatial analysis. Our Geomatics Engineering program holds accreditation from the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB).
