This program equips you with the skills to create technical drawings for both homes and businesses using current industry-standard software.
During the first year, you'll learn fundamental drafting techniques through hands-on sketching and drafting exercises. You'll study wood frame construction methods for residential projects while building proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
The second year focuses on advancing your Building Information Modeling (BIM) expertise with Revit, where you'll create initial commercial drawing packages.
The curriculum consistently broadens your understanding of construction fundamentals, eco-friendly building practices, and applications of the National Building Code.

International English Language Testing Systems (IELTS Academic Test) minimum score of 6.0 on each test (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking).
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) minimum test scores of 80 on the Internet-Based Test (TOEFL iBT), 60 on the Paper-Delivered Test, or 550 on the Paper-Based Test.

Interim transcripts If youre currently enrolled in courses required for admission, you must submit an interim transcript. Your official final grades must be submitted by the deadline specified in your admission letter.
Transcripts must be emailed to Admissions at [email protected] by the issuing institution. Official transcripts may also be dropped off in a sealed envelope at any NSCC campus or mailed to NSCC Admissions using the address to the left.
