The four-year PhD in Geography is delivered through the Waterloo-Laurier Graduate Program in Geography, a partnership that creates Canada's third-largest graduate geography program. This collaborative initiative is strengthened by multiple research centers such as the Laurier Institute for Water Science, Cold Regions Research Centre, and International Migration Research Centre.

Our geography PhD program aims to develop comprehensive theoretical and practical understanding through coursework, while offering teaching experience via assistantships and lectures.
