As a Criminology student, your coursework integrates sociology, psychology, and legal studies to explore crime's definition, motivations behind unlawful acts, and societal reactions. The field examines: theoretical frameworks for understanding criminal behavior and societal harms; community responses to crime and deviance; consequences of victimization; law enforcement and judicial approaches; and strategies for crime reduction.
Laurier's program provides comprehensive training that develops analytical skills, behavioral theories, research methodologies (both qualitative and quantitative), and strong communication abilities – competencies highly valued across employment sectors.

English Proficiency
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Internet-based testing (TOEFL iBT): an overall score of 83 or higher with a minimum score of 20 in each component; Paper-based testing: 560 or higher.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - An academic score of 6.5 or higher with a minimum of 6.0 in each band.
Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL) - 70 overall or higher (each band 60 or higher).
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) - 59 overall or higher.
Cambridge Assessment English (CAE) - Overall score of 176.
