Western Law provides a Master of Studies in Law (MSL) program designed for professionals and academics from other fields who lack a law degree but believe legal knowledge would benefit their current work or research.
This MSL program does not qualify graduates to practice law or serve as a pathway into the legal field. Rather, it aims to establish an academic foundation for individuals whose work or research intersects with legal topics.
Program Duration
3 Terms (Full-time enrollment)
6 Terms (Part-time enrollment)
Four year Bachelors or higher degree with a minimum average of B 74 percent in the last two years of fulltime study A sample of academic writing such as a research paper thesis or a published journal article The subject matter of the academic writing sample may be the applicants choice The Graduate Record Examination is required for all applicants to the MSL program Applicants who present evidence that their previous professional programs or graduate programs have required the GRE GMAT MCAT LSAT or other similar standardized tests will normally have the requirement for the GRE waived
