Biochemistry explores living organisms at the molecular scale. Our MSc candidates investigate diverse yet interrelated disciplines focused on deciphering and addressing human illnesses while enhancing health outcomes.
Some research teams examine human genetics, genome behavior, epigenetic modifications, and gene expression control, particularly RNA's regulatory functions. Additional groups concentrate on protein architecture, proteomic analysis, and intracellular communication. Digital methodologies and bioinformatics are now fundamental to biochemical investigations. Emerging technologies facilitate biological system design for scientific inquiry and industrial applications, marking the dawn of synthetic biology - encompassing genome modification, genetic alphabet expansion, novel metabolic route development, and even artificial lifeform creation.
