Our faculty features distinguished, globally recognized experts specializing in Social Inequality, Aging & Health, and Population Studies. Their research spans diverse fields including youth identity development, criminology, and labor studies. The department proudly hosts the Centre for Population, Aging and Health and contributes to interdisciplinary programs in Migration & Ethnic Relations as well as Transitional Justice & Post-Conflict Reconstruction. Additionally, scholars have access to Western's Research Data Centre and a nationally ranked academic library.
