Western's Master of Arts in History is a flexible one or two-year program focused on intensive historical study while cultivating research, writing, and critical analysis abilities. Students examine diverse historical contexts including Canadian, American, European, Middle Eastern, African, and Asian histories, along with international and global perspectives.
The Public History specialization merges conventional historical training with hands-on experience, equipping graduates for careers in museums, archives, government institutions, and heritage preservation.
MA candidates can choose from both theoretical and practical courses, gaining excellent preparation for doctoral studies.
