Alumni of Queen's Master of Art Conservation program work globally in conservation labs and research centers across art institutions, museums, libraries, archives, and private conservation practices. Many graduates pursue doctoral studies in North America, Europe, and Australia as well.
The Art Conservation Treatment Stream allows students to focus on preserving paintings, artifacts, or paper-based items while conducting research and completing two summer internships lasting 12 weeks each. Meanwhile, the Art Conservation Research Stream involves conducting original research and writing a thesis without hands-on conservation work.
