The Classics program stands as the pioneering interdisciplinary field. Learners delve into the diverse civilizations of ancient Greece and Rome, examining everything from linguistic and literary traditions to political, military, and social historical elements, along with tangible archaeological remnants. Our curriculum provides an annual selection of balanced seminars covering Greek and Latin poetry and prose, alongside ancient history and archaeology studies. These classes focus mainly on examining and interpreting primary sources (both textual and material). Evaluation methods include engaged seminar participation, oral presentations, research projects, and examinations. The M.A. program's primary objective is to cultivate students' ability to thoughtfully analyze ancient sources while honing their analytical reasoning, writing, and speaking abilities.
