The foundational medical sciences examine human biology at molecular, cellular, and systemic levels, exploring how the body adapts to environmental shifts and illnesses. The Medical Sciences Program culminates in a four-year BMSc degree, a collaborative initiative between the Faculty of Science and Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, tailored for students (testimonial) pursuing in-depth knowledge of core medical science disciplines. This interdisciplinary program emphasizes applying scientific principles to identify, prevent, and treat human illnesses.
Medical Cell Biology investigates cells - life's fundamental units. Through this discipline, students discover how cells interact to create tissues, organs, and complete organisms, while also studying cellular dysfunctions that cause conditions like cancer.
