The Intelligent Signal Processing Laboratory (ISPLab) conducts pioneering research in digital filters, fuzzy neural networks, deep learning, discrete Gabor transforms, and optimization algorithms to create advanced signal processing systems for real-time data analysis.

Under Dr. H. K. Kwan's guidance, ISPLab welcomes Ph.D. and M.A.Sc. candidates. We provide financial assistance to exceptional graduate applicants with relevant academic credentials and a passion for research in our specialized fields. Our full-time graduate students enroll through the University of Windsor's standard admission process in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.

We also fund and mentor Postdoctoral Fellows while encouraging collaborations with Visiting Scholars who share our research focus and have published in related journals.

Qualification Requirements

Graduates of recognized universities may apply for admission. In general, admission to graduate study is granted only to those students who have good academic records and who are adequately prepared to undertake graduate work in their field of specialization. In particular, an applicant for admission to a graduate program leading to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy must have either a Master's degree or, in exceptional cases, a four-year Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent; with a minimum average of 77% (or equivalent). Possession of the minimum requirements does not ensure admission. Transcripts, IBT-83 Minimum IELTS: 6.5.
