Our advanced engine testing facility features:
Research Engines: both single-cylinder and multi-cylinder configurations operating in single-cylinder mode
Dynamometer Systems: including DC, AC, and eddy current variants with dual-end capabilities
Fuel Options: conventional petroleum products, bio-derived fuels, and customized blends
Precision control systems for air handling (boost pressure, temperature regulation, exhaust backpressure) and fuel delivery (multi-pulse injection, dual-fuel operation)
Real-time FPGA control platforms
Specialized equipment for fuel injection analysis including rate measurement setups
High-performance LED illumination systems for combustion visualization
Controlled environment chambers for fundamental combustion and injection research
Comprehensive emissions measurement tools featuring direct cylinder gas sampling

Qualification Requirements

Graduates of recognized universities may apply for admission. In general, admission to graduate study is granted only to those students who have good academic records and who are adequately prepared to undertake graduate work in their field of specialization. In particular, an applicant for admission to a graduate program leading to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy must have either a Master's degree or, in exceptional cases, a four-year Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent; with a minimum average of 77% (or equivalent). Possession of the minimum requirements does not ensure admission. Transcripts, IBT-83 Minimum IELTS: 6.5.
