English provides a dynamic and welcoming environment for diverse undergraduate and graduate degree options. Learners can select from bachelor's programs that establish fundamental knowledge of English literary traditions (spanning from Medieval and Renaissance eras through Enlightenment, Romantic, Victorian, Modern, Postmodern, and contemporary periods), alongside studies in writing and rhetoric. The University of Windsor's creative writing programs blend analytical and literary studies. Our workshop sessions adopt a cozy, conversational seminar style where participants explore and critique each other's work while receiving guidance from published faculty members who are leaders in their disciplines. Complemented by practical courses in writing, editing, and publishing, our integrated programs open multiple career possibilities. Master the essentials of writing, editing, and publishing through this distinctive program that merges academic rigor with real-world application. The creative writing curriculum starts in year two, with class sizes limited to 25 students to ensure personalized attention and detailed feedback. Additionally, we provide a publishing practicum for direct, experiential learning opportunities.
