The University of Waterloo's Masters of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering is a coursework-based program available to qualified applicants. This MEng program typically requires one to two years of full-time study (three to six terms) or allows part-time completion within a maximum of fifteen terms. To earn the degree through the Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering Department, students must complete eight graduate-level courses plus a communications course. While full-time enrollment is possible, working professionals can pursue the program part-time while maintaining employment. Participants are responsible for their own financial support. Qualification Requirements

The Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering requires either (i) a 75% overall standing in the last two years, or equivalent, in a relevant four-year Honours Bachelor's degree or equivalent or (ii) a 75% overall standing or equivalent, in a relevant four-year Honours Bachelor's degree or equivalent, as the minimum requirement for admission to a Master's program for applicants educated at a Canadian institution. A 75% overall standing or equivalent, in a relevant four-year Honours Bachelor's degree or equivalent is the minimum requirement for admission to a Master's program for applicants educated outside of Canada. Graduate Record Examination (GRE) test scores (requirement only for applicants who completed their undergraduate degree from an institution located outside of Canada or the United States of America).
