The School of Planning stands as Canada's sole institution providing planning education at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. While the Master of Planning (MPlan) program isn't included, all other academic offerings hold accreditation from the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP). Our curriculum equips students with essential skills and diverse perspectives for thriving careers in professional planning. We actively encourage learners to broaden their academic horizons across the University's various disciplines to maximize their individual intellectual growth. Waterloo's School of Planning uniquely integrates municipal, urban, and regional planning approaches, offering comprehensive exposure to multiple planning specialties while fostering expertise in students' chosen focus areas. Through exceptional faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, and a cooperative learning environment, we support students in reaching their highest potential.
