The Collaborative Water Program fosters interdisciplinary approaches to water-related studies. This distinctive initiative enables students to pursue specialized training in Biology while collaborating with peers from diverse departments through interdisciplinary core courses. Jointly administered by 11 departments across all six faculties at the University of Waterloo, this interdisciplinary program is facilitated by the Water Institute. Participants gain hands-on experience tackling complex water challenges, developing skills for effective teamwork across disciplines. Graduates emerge as water sector leaders equipped with cross-disciplinary communication abilities and collaborative problem-solving expertise.
The program welcomes both Master's and Doctoral candidates in thesis or research-based programs with a significant water-focused component to their studies.
