The Gender and Social Justice program educates students on social justice issues, focusing especially on gender's influence. Learners apply intersectional feminist principles in various contexts to foster fair, inclusive, and sustainable communities both locally and worldwide. Whether pursuing a major, minor, or elective courses, students discover our curriculum to be current, approachable, meaningful, diverse, and unexpectedly insightful. The coursework aims to foster understanding of marginalized groups affected by factors like gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, ability, and socioeconomic status. You'll become part of a vibrant student community actively involved in student organizations, academic departments, campus life, as well as initiatives like the student-run Women's Centre, The Glow Centre for Sexual and Gender Diversity, and local outreach programs.
