The Departments of Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies and History share overlapping focuses on gender, sexuality, and women's topics. This combined major caters to students passionate about these subjects. Program planning should be done in collaboration with advisors from both departments.
Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies strives to foster creativity, academic freedom, social justice advocacy, inclusivity, and meaningful opposition to systemic inequities.
Our program brings together professors, staff, instructors, and students at all levels who are devoted to examining and interpreting historical transformations. Our research spans global regions from British Columbia to Africa and China, exploring historical developments from ancient times to contemporary society.
