This mathematics degree is provided by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics within the Faculty of Science. Along with meeting the listed requirements, students should review their Faculty's program guidelines. The Mathematics Major offers comprehensive training across mathematical disciplines, mandating coursework in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, discrete mathematics, and statistics, while allowing flexibility to focus on any of these four specialties. The General Program promotes educational diversity by requiring study in two distinct academic areas. For specific information about pursuing a BSc in a General Program that pairs Mathematics or Statistics with another Science discipline (or with Geography or Psychology), refer to General Program. For BA degree options combining Mathematics or Statistics with Humanities or Social Sciences fields, see BA in Mathematics or Statistics or BA in Mathematics or Statistics.
