This field also provides excellent preparation for various academic pursuits by developing strong logical reasoning skills.
Our department hires undergraduate students to work in the Math Help Center and grade assignments. Selected students may secure summer research positions through funding from the National Science and Engineering Research Council.
Students can pursue major, minor, or honors programs resulting in either a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in statistics. We also provide combined programs in:
biology-statistics (B.Sc. honors)
computer science-statistics (B.Sc. major and honors)
economics-statistics (B.Sc. major)
economics-statistics (B.Sc. major with co-op economics option)
pure mathematics-statistics (B.Sc. honors)
