The John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design provides a Master of Visual Studies (MVS) degree, a two-year intensive program with two specializations: Curatorial Studies and Studio. The MVS Studio program fosters creative development in a dynamic setting emphasizing innovative art creation, theoretical discourse, analytical writing, and career preparation. Focusing on evolving forms of visual communication, the program explores intersections of text, imagery, motion, audio, and digital technologies. Students engage with current artistic methodologies through foundational coursework, gaining hands-on experience across diverse creative mediums. Those in the MVS Studio track conduct concentrated artistic research while studying modern theories about visual and spatial dynamics in art and cultural works.
