The Master of Education in Curriculum & Pedagogy (C&P) program provides a structured platform for analyzing curriculum through a comprehensive lens, encompassing both formal and informal learning environments. This involves rigorous evaluation of content (subjects, courses, academic programs), objectives, and instructional methods that facilitate learning across educational contexts.
Participants in the Curriculum & Pedagogy graduate program must successfully finish ten half-courses, available through full-time or part-time study. Depending on prior background and academic preparation, supplementary coursework may be necessary. Reflecting our faculty's wide-ranging scholarly focus, the program offers six optional specialization areas. Degree completion timelines are three years for full-time candidates and six years for part-time students.
The Science, Mathematics, and Technology (SMT) specialization focuses on examining theoretical frameworks, practical applications, and current challenges in SMT education across various learning environments. Our dynamic academic community fosters scholarly exchange, critical discourse, and research-driven exploration of innovative approaches to STEM education. Through partnerships with the SMT Centre and collaborative engineering education initiatives, we encourage active participation in examining STEM education, mathematical teaching methods, equity issues, inclusive practices, and social/environmental advocacy.
