The Faculty of Dentistry provides advanced degree options, including Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy programs. These graduate studies attract both dental professionals and those from other fields seeking specialized research education. While MSc and PhD candidates share foundational coursework, doctoral students must complete extra academic requirements and extended research training. Financial support covering stipends and tuition is available for two years for MSc candidates and five years for PhD students.
Students are normally admitted to the PhD program with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or equivalent, with at least an A– standing (3.7 out of 4.0 grade point average [GPA]) in the final year from a recognized university.
